Currently, Upward Bound students are enjoying the 1998 Summer Residential Program. This intense summer experience focuses on academic, career, cultural, and recreational activities.

During the month of July, students will be heading on a weekend tour of northern California. The main purpose of the trip is to visit major college campuses, such as UC Davis, Berkeley, and USF. In addition to campus visits, students will be taking in the sites at San Francisco and San Jose.

The end of the year banquet is scheduled for July 17th at the University Picadilly Inn. This will put an official close to Upward Bound activities until September.

When we start up again in September, staff will be busy compiling a winning proposal for re-funding. Currently, the Upward Bound Program is funded until the year 2000. With a little luck and hard work, the program will continue its outstanding services for many years to come.
