First-time freshmen are admissible to Fresno State with a TOEFL score of 500 (paper-based), 173 (computer-based), or 61 (internet-based) or better and an academic "B" average overall.
Transfer students must present a minimum TOEFL score of 500 (paper-based), 173 (computer-based), or 61 (internet-based).
Transfer students with 60 or more transferable units must have a minimum 2.4 grade point average on all college work completed.
Transfer students with less than 60 transferable units must have a minimum grade point average of 2.0 on all college work completed and a 3.0 or "B" average on high school work.
Graduate students must present a minimum TOEFL score of 550 (paper-based), 213 (computer-based) or 80 (internet-based). Students must have a 2.5 grade point average or a C+ in the last 60 semester/90 quarter units attempted (or the last two years) and possess an equivalent four-year degree from an accredited/recognized college to be considered for admission.
All graduate applicants must submit the Graduate Record Examination (GRE), the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT), or the Miller Analogies Test (MAT) as required by the major program.
